Gredos

Line Shape

The Gredos Ibex is the largest of the four subspecies. Its long and thick horns make it the most prized trophy in Spanish big game hunting.

This majestic animal inhabits rugged mountains, making its hunt a true challenge.

The Gredos Ibex tends to live in large groups, sometimes gathering over 50 ibex, creating a spectacular sight!

Since they live far from villages and roads, horses are used to access the hunting areas.

Accommodation

In our hunting area, we offer high-quality rural accommodations and restaurants with refined cuisine in a cozy setting. Guests can relax by the fireplace while sharing stories of the day, enjoying a fine glass of Spanish wine.

Location

Our hunting areas are located in the best regions of the Sierra de Gredos. The geography consists of granite rocks and steep cliffs. In the central mountain range, the Sierra de Gredos rises, separating the Douro and Tagus Rivers.

Beceite

Line Shape

Our hunting areas are located in the Ports of Tortosa-Beceite, a mountainous massif spanning three provinces (Tarragona, Castellón, and Teruel), featuring a rugged and unique terrain, with deep valleys and rock formations.

The Beceite Ibex, along with the Gredos Ibex, is one of the most spectacular in terms of horn shape and size. There are two types of horns:

Lyre-shaped, with closed tips.
Open and flat, pointing sideways, known as "airplane" or "umbrella".

Location

This will be the first stop of the journey. Beceite is just two hours’ drive from Barcelona.

Ronda

Line Shape

The Ronda Ibex, located in Southern Europe, is the smallest among those that make up the Grand Slam of the Spanish Ibex.

The historic city of Ronda gives its name to this subspecies.

The horns of the Ronda Ibex are similar to those of the Sierra Nevada Ibex, with a straight growth and a slight backward curvature.

Hunting Season

The hunting season for the Ronda Ibex runs from October to May. While hunting is good throughout the entire season, the best time is during the rut, when there are higher chances of harvesting a large male.

Environment

Our hunting areas are located in the best regions of Ronda. The geography of Spain’s interior features gentle relief, with pasture areas and cereal fields.

Southeastern

Line Shape

The Sierra Nevada Ibex is one of the most abundant subspecies in Spanish territory.

Its dimensions are slightly smaller than those of its Beceite and Gredos counterparts.

Its horns are shorter, but wide and robust.

We will hunt this subspecies in a privileged environment, very close to the wonderful city of Granada.

This impressive animal inhabits from the peaks of Sierra Nevada down to the coastline, providing a wide variety of hunting scenarios.

Location

The Sierra Nevada is a mountainous massif located on the southern coast of Spain, mostly within the province of Granada.

The Itinerary

Line Shape

Depending on the subspecies to be hunted, guests will land at different airports:

For the Beceite Ibex, the best airport is Barcelona.
For Gredos, Sierra Nevada, and Ronda, the best option is Madrid.

Each trip can be customized to the hunter’s needs to make it as pleasant as possible.
