Kuban Tur, West Caucasian Tur

A robust animal with grey-brown coat and dark scimitar-shaped horns.

Found in the Western Caucasus (Russia), on steep rocky terrain.

Highlights:

• Massive horns of 70–80 cm
• Compact, heavily muscled body
• Altitude: 2,500–3,800 m
• Very vertical terrain

Mid Caucasian Tur, Central Caucasian Tur

An intermediate species between Kuban and Dagestan tur, with more vertical, closed horns and great body mass.

Lives in the Central Caucasus (Georgia / Russia) on technical, highly exposed ground.

Highlights:

• Tall, narrow horns
• Males exceeding 80 kg
• Altitude: 2,800-4,000+ m
• Highly physical hunts
